Mississauga Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling

In healing, we find ways to regain a sense of safety and re-establish or discover a relationship with who we are; connecting with our strengths and innate capacity for resilience.

Most people come to therapy with a desire to feel better and to have a life that feels worth living.

Whether you are considering therapy for a life transition, loss and grief, a desire to connect with yourself on a deeper level, relationship challenges, stress, or to engage in treatment of conditions such as, depression, anxiety, a personality disorder, suicidal ideation or trauma; my approach to care is client-centred, holistically oriented, trauma-informed and utilizes adaptive therapeutic approaches to respond to the uniqueness of my clients.

If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.

Trauma-informed psychotherapy offers an opportunity for individuals to intentionally engage in a process of healing in a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment.

Surviving our experiences often means we have been in touch with feelings of helplessness and/or powerless, which may have manifested in emotional, physical and behavioural adaptations in response to these overwhelming experiences. We may have become undeniably aware of our vulnerability and the ways we have been compromised.

In healing, we find ways to regain a sense of safety and re-establish or discover a relationship with who we are; connecting with our strengths and innate capacity for resilience.

Take the next step.
